TransWeb Provides Web Coverage of the 2005 World Transplant Games
ANN ARBOR, MICH.- TransWeb, the award winning web site about organ donation and transplantation, will be providing daily web coverage of the 2005 World Transplant Games from the campus of the University of Western Ontario, in London, July 17-23. This year's Games will bring together a thousand athletes from all over the world. Daily coverage of the games will include digital photos, stories, interviews, highlights, profiles of athletes and donor families, coverage of opening and closing ceremonies, and links to results. TransWeb's coverage will be broadcast direct from the site of the Games, and will be available at www.transweb.org indefinitely.

The 2005 World Transplant Games are a celebration of transplantation and demonstrate the success of transplantation through the performances of a thousand transplant recipient athletes. Teams from around the world compete in a variety of sports during the six days of intense competition. The Transplant Games showcase the accomplishments of brave individuals who have been given a second chance following a life-saving transplant. This provides an opportunity to promote the need for organ and tissue donation. There will also be special events during the week to remember the donors who gave these athletes a second chance at life.

TransWeb's coverage is made possible by the generous sponsorship of The Richard and Helen DeVos Foundation and Astellas - www.transplantlife.com.
