Her last observation is very helpful and literally rules out Panic.
Patients with SVT often are aware of abrupt onset, and they also may feel the exact moment of termination, especially with attacks of short duration.
However, SVT, for example (with a rate of 160) may be followed by a brief period of sinus tachycardia (rate of 130) due to sympathetic stimulation. In this case the patient is often unaware of this change-over and will describe the gradual slowing of the sinus tachycardia. Thus, abrupt termination when present favors SVT, but gradual, or uncertain termination does not rule out SVT.
Question: The event-recovery was "Gradual" or "Abrupt."
