Welcome to the University of Michigan Pre-operative Clinic.

If you are scheduled for an operation at the University of Michigan Health System, you may be referred to the University of Michigan Pre-operative Clinic. We do not see all patients scheduled for elective surgery; instead, we only evaluate patients who would benefit from preemptive assessment and therapy. For example, we see patients who have complex medical problems or potentially difficult airways.

The clinic is located at Domino's Farms (see map and directions). The Pre-op Clinic is open from 8 am to 5 pm every weekday for assessment of patients scheduled to have elective surgery. An attending anesthesiologist and an anesthesia resident work in the clinic during these hours every weekday.
