Mission and Values

The mission of the of the University of Michigan Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is to maximize the health, function and quality of life of individuals with acute and chronic illness and disability in the local and global community throughout their life span.

Our vision is to provide leadership excellence in rehabilitation medicine through innovative research, education, advocacy and interdisciplinary clinical practice.

Our aims are the discovery, advancement, dissemination and provision of evidence-based treatment and interventions for individuals with acute and chronic illness and disability.

Our Values:
