Clinical Care

With three hospitals, approximately 40 health centers and 120 outpatient clinics, the U-M Medical School and its Faculty Group Practice, the U-M School of Nursing and the Michigan Health Corp., the world-class U-M Health System offers an ideal environment for patient care.

A reputation such as ours is built on a history of firsts and bests, discovery and innovation and – when it comes to patient care – concern for the individuals and families we serve. Most importantly, since 1852, we have put our patients and families first.

We’ve been involved in groundbreaking and standard setting work, like the Child and Family Life Center, the first of its kind in the United States, where long-term hospitalized children can be children and even keep up with school, our Birth Center, one of the first facilities in the country to offer single-room maternity care to mothers and families, and so much more.
