Deadlines

Incoming Students

You have three weeks from the date of acceptance (or March 31, whichever is later) to complete and mail your FAFSA or Renewal Application to the processor and return all required information to the Financial Aid Office. Applications submitted after this date are considered late and will be awarded university-administered funding based on funding availability.

Continuing Students

Your Renewal Application or FAFSA must be submitted to the processor and all other required materials submitted to the Financial Aid Office by March 31. Students who meet this deadline will be eligible for full financial aid consideration (university and external funding) to the extent of their financial need. This deadline allows ample time for students and parents to complete the appropriate tax returns for accurate reporting of income information.

Extension of Deadline

Any request for extension must be made in writing prior to the deadline and must be approved by the Director.

If you or your parents are filing for an extension to the federal income tax deadline, we must have a copy of the application for extension as well as a letter from the filer explaining the circumstances necessitating the extension. If we have these documents prior to the published application deadline, your deadline will be extended to Aug. 15.

If the Financial Aid Office requests further information from you (such as tax transcripts, verification forms, asset verification), you must comply to the request by May 1 or your file will be considered late.
