Cap and Gown Pick Up

If you would like someone else to pick up your gown for you, please send a note with this person confirming that they may pick up your attire. Gowns and Hoods are to be turned in after the graduation ceremony at Hill Auditorium.

Medical School Commencement (unlimited seating – no tickets required)
Place: Hill Auditorium

Time: 3:00 p.m. (Doors open to the public at 2:15 p.m. – seating on a first come first serve basis). If someone in your party is in need of special accommodations, please contact Paula in the Office Medical Student Education by May 4th to make arrangements (734-763-7981 or paumeyer@umich.edu).

Free parking will be available for graduates and guests after 1:00 p.m. at the Thayer, Fletcher, and Palmer structures (Parking Structure Map).

Please note: Graduates should be at Hill Auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on May 11th to robe and begin lining up for the Commencement Ceremony. Please use the East entrance of Hill Auditorium and go up one flight (look for signs directing you where to go). Students will fill out a card for the photographer, pick up name pronunciation card and honor cords, robe, and line up alphabetically.

DEAN’S RECEPTION: Immediately following Commencement Ceremony at the Michigan League. Open to ALL Graduates and their guests. No RSVP Required.
