National Advisory Board
The National Advisory Board of the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center consists of 34 members whose goal is to help the center promote the understanding of how cardiovascular diseases develop, and how they can be diagnosed, prevented and treated. From former U.S. Surgeon General Antonia Novello to U.S. Representative John Dingell and Weight Watchers founder Florine Mark, the panel includes representatives from many areas of medicine, science, industry, government and academia.
The NAB supports the mission of the U-M CVC to be a premier center, creating an understanding of cardiovascular disease across the life span, through multidisciplinary collaboration among clinicians and scientists to achieve:
