Ordering of Supplies
Karen Meeks can assist you with any ordering questions. Your ordering options here at the University of Michigan are:
- Online orders at the Mmarketsite webpage, using your shortcodes;
- University Mastercard, commonly referred to as Pcard; and
- Requisitions
M-marketsite
The University has negotiated contracts with many of the vendors you frequently use for lab supplies, chemicals and non-capital equipment (research related equipment under $5000). A complete listing of those vendors and a guide to registering and training is available on their website.
University Sponsored Mastercard (Pcard)
The University of Michigan has a partnership with Bank One in issuing Mastercard credit cards to employees for specific University business. To get an application, training needed, and a good understanding of your role and responsibility. If you need help filling out the application or clarification of the rules you can contact, Karen Lang or Lori Longeway.
Requisitions
If you have a vendor that won't accept a Mastercard, or have a piece of research related equipment over $5000, or a radioactive chemical to order this is the option for you. Requisition form and non-competitive purchase form.
If you would like to make a time investment in taking the M-Pathways classes (approximately 20-30 hours), so you can place your requisitions yourself, you will need to make those arrangements through Karen Lang. Karen Meeks already has access and can place these orders. In case you want to order a piece of research-related equipment over $5000, the order must go through purchasing and a non-competitive purchase form should be filled out (unless you want your order to go through the competitive bidding process). Again, Karen can help with this.
