Dr. Fazzalari is Assistant Professor of Surgery specializing in adult cardiac surgery.
Dr. Frank L. Fazzalari attended The University of Michigan, completing B.S. studies in 1986 with Honors. He received his medical degree from The University of Michigan Medical School in 1990, graduating Cum Laude. His General Surgery Residency was completed at The University of Michigan Hospitals in 1996. He completed a Critical Care Fellowship as well as an ECLS/ECMO Fellowship at the UniversityofMichigan. He then completed Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at The Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He served as a partner and vice president of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Associates and as attending cardiothoracic surgeon at the Heart Institute at MemorialMedicalCenter in Greenville,South Carolina. He was an instructor in, heart failure, mechanical assist devices and cardiac transplantation at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as well as Visiting Attending Faculty in Cardiothoracic Surgery at ISMETT Hospital UMPC, Italy. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with Distinction form the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
He is board-certified in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery and is a Fellow of the AmericanCollege of Surgeons.
