Violence is something we at the University of Michigan Health System take seriously. Domestic violence, vulnerable adult abuse, child abuse and sexual assault affect millions of people every year. The Health System has help available for people being abused. Physical injuries may be the most recognized symptoms of violence, but other conditions such as migraine headaches, depression and an overall perception of poor health are all correlated with abuse. If you are a survivor of abuse, the abuse is not your fault. You do not deserve it, nor are you alone. This is a safe place for survivors to get help and support whenever they are ready and able.
